This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of Hoist (hoist.cc), operated by Pure Digital Pte Ltd (UEN 201830211Z). It is incorporated into and forms part of the Hoist Terms of Service. Breaching this AUP is a breach of the Terms.
1. Spirit of this Policy
1.1Hoist supports legitimate communication and link management. Because short links can be misused to disguise malicious destinations, we enforce this AUP according to both its spirit and its letter, and we reserve the right to act against conduct that harms our users, our platform or the public even where it is not expressly listed below.
2. Prohibited Uses
You must not use the Service, and must not create hoists that point to content, in order to engage in or facilitate any of the following:
2.1Phishing, spoofing, or credential theft, or any attempt to fraudulently obtain another person's information;
2.2Malware — distributing or linking to viruses, ransomware, spyware, droppers, exploit kits, or other malicious or disruptive code;
2.3Spam — sending or facilitating unsolicited bulk commercial electronic messages, including in breach of the Spam Control Act 2007;
2.4Illegal content or activity of any kind under the laws of Singapore or any other applicable jurisdiction;
2.5Copyright or other intellectual-property infringement, including linking to pirated, counterfeit or infringing material;
2.6Fraud and financial crime — scams, deceptive schemes, card testing, carding, or storage/distribution of stolen financial data;
2.7Harassment, threats, doxxing, bullying, or incitement of violence against any individual or group;
2.8Child sexual abuse material or any content that sexually exploits or endangers minors — zero tolerance. Such content will be removed and reported to the relevant authorities;
2.9Cloaking or deceptive redirection intended to disguise a destination or evade detection, and any attempt to circumvent our abuse-detection systems;
2.10Circumventing rate limits, scraping, or otherwise making abusive or excessive automated use of the API or the Service;
2.11Creating multiple or additional accounts to evade suspension, termination or other enforcement;
2.12Impersonation of, or misrepresentation of affiliation with, any person, organisation or entity.
3. Abuse Screening and Reporting
3.1We screen destination URLs against known-bad domain lists and accept abuse reports from anyone.
3.2To report abuse, contact abuse@hoist.cc with the hoist link and a description of the issue. We aim to review reports promptly.
4. Copyright Takedown (Copyright Act 2021 of Singapore)
4.1We respond to valid takedown notices under the Copyright Act 2021 of Singapore and the Copyright Regulations 2021 (not the US DMCA). A valid take-down notice should be signed by the complainant and contain the information required under the Act, including: the complainant's name, address, telephone number and email address (and a Singapore address for service if the complainant is not resident in Singapore); information sufficient to identify the allegedly infringing material and its online location; a statement that the complainant requires us to remove or disable access to the material; a statement that the complainant in good faith believes the material is infringing; a statement that the information in the notice is accurate; a statement that the complainant is the copyright owner or exclusive licensee, or is authorised to act on their behalf; and the complainant's agreement to submit to the jurisdiction of the Singapore courts.
4.2A person whose link was removed or disabled may submit a restoration (counter) notice containing the corresponding information required under the Act, including a good-faith statement that the material was removed by mistake or misidentification or that it does not infringe. Making a false statement in a take-down or restoration notice may give rise to liability under the Act.
4.3Send notices to our designated representative: copyright@hoist.cc, Pure Digital Pte Ltd, 22 Sin Ming Lane, #06-76, Midview City, Singapore 573969.
5. Consequences of Violation
5.1Where we reasonably believe this AUP has been or is likely to be breached, we may, with or without prior notice: remove or disable hoists or destinations; suspend or terminate accounts or workspaces; and preserve and disclose information to authorities as permitted by law. We maintain an audit log of enforcement actions. Misconduct may also violate applicable laws and lead to civil or criminal liability.
6. Appeals
6.1If you believe enforcement action was taken in error, you may appeal to abuse@hoist.cc. We will review appeals in good faith. Restoration is at our discretion and subject to applicable law.
7. Changes
7.1We may update this AUP from time to time. We will post the revised version with a new "Last Updated" date.
